Rheumatology

Patient is examined in bed.

The rheumatology department provides examination, treatment and rehabilitation for patients with inflamed joints or systemic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and other rheumatic diseases, vasculitis or psoriatic arthritis (skin disease with arthritis). The department has twelve beds for inpatients and eleven places for day care, and provides a rheumatology outpatient clinic which has about 5000 visits per year and offers nurse visits, telephone counseling and testing. In addition, there is a rehabilitation unit run by multidisciplinary teams.
