Our Purpose

The emergency gynaecology department can be found within women's healthcare, entrance 95/96 at the University Hospital. We are open 24 hours a day and women of all ages can attend.

Problems can include:

• Acute gynaecological infections.
• Emergency contraception.
• Discomfort after surgery.
• Bleeding.
• Sexually transmitted diseases.
• Pain.

We also see pregnant women seeking emergency care until gestational week 21 +6, before transferring the pregnant woman to the labour ward.
