Our ward brings together registered nurses and certified assistant nurses who work closely with doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians and medical social workers. We also collaborate with our specialist outpatient clinics and day-care unit.
Nearby our ward, patients can access the hospital school and the play therapy service, where children and young people can play, watch films, use computers or spend time on their own in the teenagers’ room.

We care for and prepare patients who are undergoing surgery, diagnostic assessment or treatment. We offer support throughout the entire care journey.
At Children's Ward 95 B, we care for patients who are admitted for surgery or other treatment. We place great importance on ensuring that both children and their families feel safe and well prepared before surgery.
Before Your Hospital Stay
You will receive clear information about what to expect. We adapt the information to your age and individual needs using, for example, words, pictures and dolls.
We adapt our information to each child’s age and needs. This may include spoken explanations, pictures, dolls, or interactive tools such as our Children’s Web. For example, children can practise placing a bandage or “giving an injection” to a teddy bear, helping them understand what will happen in a gentle and reassuring way.
During Your Hospital Stay
After surgery, you will return to the ward for continued care. We encourage you to start moving as soon as possible, while always taking your wishes and abilities into account. Pain relief and nutrition are important for both recovery and well-being. Our staff work actively to understand your needs, and a range of visual aids can help you express how you are feeling.
Parents and family members play a central role in care. All staff therefore strive to involve both you and your loved ones in the care process.
