Arriving by Car to the Emergency Department and the Delivery Unit
Patients arriving by car to the Emergency Department or Labour and Delivery can use the northern entrance by Svandammen. From there, you can reach most of the car parks on the hospital campus.
Current Updates
Lift out of service from the garage to Entrance 65
If you are visiting a unit at Entrance 65 and need lift access, please park on the upper parking level. From there, take the lifts to Entrance 70 and follow the signs to Entrance 65. The lift is expected to remain out of service until May 2026.

Parking Information
Paying for Parking
Visitors can pay the parking fee at ticket machines or by using the parking apps SmartPark and EasyPark. Please note: if you pay via an app, a service fee may be added. See details in the app or on the company’s website.
Where You Can Park
Parking at the Emergency Department (Entrances 60–62):
- 31 SEK per hour, all days, 00:00–24:00.
- Maximum 225 SEK per 24 hours.
All other visitor car parks (outdoor and in our parking garages):
- 20 SEK per hour from 06:00–18:00.
- 10 SEK per hour from 18:00–24:00.
- 0 SEK per hour from 00:00–06:00.
- Maximum 80 SEK per 24 hours.
Paying via app:
- If you pay with a parking app, a service fee may be added.

Parking for Inpatients at Uppsala University Hospital
If you are admitted as an inpatient, you can purchase either:
- 1‑day pass for 80 SEK.
- 7‑day pass for 560 SEK (80 SEK per day for seven days).
The pass is valid outdoors and in hospital garages.
You can buy passes at the receptions at Entrances 10 and 100–101, at the information desk at Entrance 70, and in the hospital cafeterias.
Charging Points for Electric Vehicles
Electric vehicles may park in marked EV charging spaces at the standard visitor fee.
- Parking in an EV space is only permitted while actively charging.
- No additional fee is charged for the electricity.
- Conventional vehicles may not park in EV spaces.
Charging points follow the European standard with Mode 3, Type 2 outlets. If your vehicle uses another connector, please bring a compatible charging cable.
Maximum parking time: 24 hours.
Motorcycles and Class 1 Mopeds
Please park in the spaces marked MC. MC spaces are available in the parking house, in all parking garages, and next to Entrances 10 and C1.
There is currently no fee for motorcycle parking within Region Uppsala.

If the Space Counter Shows “Spaces Available” When It Is Full
If you notice that the occupancy counter showing the number of available spaces is incorrect, please let us know so we can fix it quickly.
