Free 24‑Hour Ticket
If you are registered as a resident of Uppsala County and have a booked healthcare appointment within the county, you can download a free 24‑hour ticket in the UL app. The ticket is valid on UL public transport on the day of your visit and applies to both the patient and one accompanying person. Are There Any Exceptions?
Yes. The free ticket is not valid for visits to protected units, such as the Domestic Violence Unit, Child Protection Team or Needle Exchange Programme. In addition, individuals with protected personal data cannot use the free ticket in the app.
Why Digital Tickets?
Patients are entitled to reimbursement for public transport expenses for themselves and an accompanying person. Submitting travel claims and processing reimbursements requires time and administrative resources. By offering a digital ticket, this administrative process is avoided – making travel to healthcare appointments simpler, faster and more efficient for both patients and healthcare services.
