Healthcare professionals keep notes in a patient record both when you seek care and when you receive it. This also applies to video consultations. 

If the video consultation is for a child who does not have their own BankID, the guardian can use the service on behalf of the child. Children can have their own video consultations if they have their own BankID.

A video consultation has the same patient fee as a physical appointment. High-cost cards and free cards apply as usual.

Things to consider for video consultations

In order to use video consultations, you must have a booked video consultation to your clinic.  

Make sure that you have a stable internet connection for your video meeting, wifi is preferable. It is also a good idea to connect well before the video call is due to start, so that you know everything is working properly.  

Make sure it is light enough around you, so that the person you are talking to can see you.  

It is good if you are in an undisturbed environment when having a video consultation. This is both for your own benefit and so that the person you are talking to can hear what you are saying. This is also good from a privacy perspective.  

Position the camera so that it is level with your eyes. This way, the person you are talking to can see you from the front and look you in the eye.

Use your mobile phone or tablet's light for better visibility if you are filming something that is confined space and dark, for example inside an ear.

You may want to use a headset if you need to take notes.  

Remember to keep your mobile phone or tablet steady. For example, image quality is much worse when you walk around.  

Remember to have a valid ID document available for the meeting because it will need to be presented.  

The video consultation can be interrupted if you receive a phone call during the meeting, in which case you will have to log in again via the app for the consultation. To prevent any interruption, you can select aeroplane mode and wifi on your phone, then the video consultation will not be interrupted by any incoming call.  

It is always a good idea to prepare for any healthcare consultation, including a video consultation.
