Is it time to give birth?

Please call the Labour Ward before coming to the hospital.You can reach us on 018 611 57 00.

If you are more than 22+0 weeks pregnant, you should always contact us if you:

Have regular contractions.
Think your waters may have broken.
Experience vaginal bleeding.
Are wondering whether labour has started.
Notice reduced fetal movements.
Have severe and persistent abdominal pain.
Have a headache that does not go away.
Feel worried or concerned.
Have other urgent questions.

Finding the Labour Ward

The Labour Ward at Uppsala University Hospital is located at Entrance 240 on the hospital grounds. To reach the Labour Ward, use the hospital’s northern entrance, opposite of Svandammen/Stadsträdgården.

Acute problems during pregnancy

If you are more than 22+0 weeks pregnant, you should always contact us if you experience acute problems during your pregnancy.

If you are pregnant up to and including 21+6 weeks, you can contact 1177 or the Gynaecological Emergency Department.
