Equality is the watchword of the Swedish healthcare system. This means that in the Swedish public healthcare system, no-one can pay to move up the waiting list. Nor is anyone permitted to book and/or pay for individual treatments or benefits. Instead, all patients have the same rights and enjoy the same, first-class care. The system is based on democratic principles, of which we are very proud.
