Geriatrics

The geriatrics department offers specialized inpatient and outpatient care with in-depth expertise and reliable consistency. Many geriatric patients have several concurrent diseases or problems. In these cases, it is not sufficient to treat each disease with its own drug – the patient requires a qualified global assessment. Work is conducted in multidisciplinary teams, where each branch contributes their specific expertise. The areas of expertise are multifaceted and include care and rehabilitation of elderly patients with multiple disorders, dementia assessment and treatment, and palliative care. The department also carries out training in geriatric medicine, research and quality development.
