Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services

The child and adolescent psychiatric department provides care for children and adolescents aged up to 18 years who live in Uppsala county or the extended region. The department takes responsibility for children or adolescents with a psychiatric assessment indicating that they have or are at serious risk of developing a psychiatric disorder. The work of the department is carried out mainly as outpatient care, and includes effective liaison with parents, the school's student welfare service, neighbourhood health care, and social services.
