Nephrology

The goal of the nephrology department is to offer patients highly specialized and modern renal medical care. The department takes care of the assessment, care and treatment of patients with renal failure, patients requiring advanced blood cleansing treatments (dialysis, apheresis) and those with complications. It also deals with failing vascular access and similar conditions in renal medicine. There is a ward, a renal medicine and transplantation clinic, two dialysis clinics for various types of hemodialysis and apheresis, and a unit for training for home dialysis. In addition, there is a unit for training and monitoring of peritoneal dialysis (PD dialysis).
