Neurosurgery

The neurosurgical department offers a comprehensive range of treatments in the field of neurosurgery, and is found in several areas of the Swedish Social Board's list of national specialties. The highly specialized care is conducted with multidisciplinary collaboration, and the personnel are fully prepared to deal with emergencies and consultations. The department has an intensive care unit, an intermediate care unit, a ward and a surgical department. Reception is in the neurosurgery clinic. Approximately 1600 operations are performed and 2300 patients are treated in the department each year.
